How it works

The SET‑HD100 uses a laser-based rotary encoder system to measure angular position with extremely high precision.

Through its self-calibration algorithm, the system compensates for mechanical and installation errors, enabling accurate measurement even in non-ideal mounting conditions.

This allows users to:

  • Verify rotary axis accuracy
  • Detect positioning errors
  • Improve machine performance
  • Ensure long-term measurement reliability

Typical applications

  • CNC rotary axis calibration
  • Machine tool verification and acceptance testing
  • Precision engineering and metrology
  • Performance validation of high-accuracy systems

Why choose the SET-HD100

  • Eliminates installation-related measurement errors
  • Provides industry-leading angular accuracy
  • Supports traceable calibration processes
  • Enables reliable machine performance verification

Laserscale allows high stability against environmental change such as pressure and temperature with the combination of high resolution, diffraction grating and a sensor head with symmetric optical path. Signal wavelength 1.24 arcsec = 6.0 μrad (250 nm on the circle of 42 scale) is electrically interpolated to the resolution of 0.0012 arcsec = 5.9 nrad (0.25 nm on 42) at the low noise level.
